A: Repeated rule breaking but NOT serious misconduct
- A moderator may notify the rest of the moderator group of a member repeatedly breaking the group rules, so they can monitor and discuss
- If a moderator proposes a warning/suspension, the group has up to 24hrs to discuss and agree by simple majority the appropriate warning or a suspension (after 24hrs, moderators that do not contribute are considered to have abstained and not counted in the majority)
- The member shall be given:
- 1 or 2 warnings (depending on manner of rule breach)
- Final warning
- Notice of suspension from FB groups and referral to OG to consider action
- The warnings/notification shall be given in the feedback when declining/removing the post/comment
- Following suspension from the FB groups the member will also receive a direct communication from the social media and website coordinator or other officer of the SC
- Screenshots of the post/comment and the feedback and direct comms must be taken for filing and forwarding to the OG
B: Serious misconduct
(racism, hate speech, grossly offensive, threats, etc)
- If a moderator proposes a warning/suspension, the group has up to 24hrs to discuss and agree by simple majority the appropriate warning or a suspension (after 24hrs, moderators that do not contribute are considered to have abstained and not counted in the majority)
- The member shall be given:
- First and Final warning
- Notice of suspension from FB groups and referral to OG to consider action
OR, if very serious:
- Immediate notice of suspension from FB groups and referral to OG to consider action
- The warnings/notification shall be given in the feedback when declining the post
- In the case of a post in a group with no post pre-approval, or a comment in any group, where they are visible before any moderation, a screenshot of the post/comment shall be taken first and then the post/comment shall be removed immediately with basic feedback, before discussion with the moderator group – any warning/notification shall then be communicated directly by the social media and website coordinator
- Following suspension from the FB groups the member will receive a direct communication from the social media and website coordinator or other officer of the SC
- Screenshots of the post/comment and the feedback and direct comms must be taken for filing and forwarding to the OG
C: Screenshotting / copying and pasting outside the groups (privacy breached)
- Privacy is considered to be breached if any comments from within the FB groups are reproduced elsewhere and attributed to the LLA or its supporters, or with the name of the author of such comments revealed, whether the comments and names are simply copied and pasted as text, or screenshotted, or otherwise reproduced even if not precisely so.
- Clear evidence must be provided of the reproduction of such comments, either by screenshot, photograph or other direct copy, for consideration by the moderator group and/or OG, and for filing
- This evidence may be highlighted to the LLA by various means and it may not be necessary to be considered by the moderator groups (it may be dealt with by the SC or OG), but the preference is to consult the moderator group.
- As in this scenario there is no opportunity to comment in feedback (as with removal of a post/comment), any warning/notification shall be communicated directly by the social media and website coordinator or other officer of the SC
