LLA Northern Ireland: Rally for Corbyn; Labour democracy locally, nationally and internationally!

November 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The suspension of Jeremy Corbyn by the UK Labour party leadership is but one more attack in the continued onslaught on the principled socialist values that many both inside and outside the Labour party hold on to.

The rulebook has been thrown aside and all pretence of civility or neutrality has been discarded at the first chance that Keir Starmer and his centrist political allies could grasp on too. With no reason given for his suspension, this situation reeks of typical anti-socialist manoeuvring by those happy to indulge, rather than challenge, the status quo.

As socialists and trade unionist organisers of all persuasions we must stand together and fight this demonisation of someone who’s always fought for others. Someone who’s been an ardent supporter of peace in Ireland, a fierce anti-racist and a stalwart in the anti-austerity campaigning of the last decade.

So join us on the 23rd November, 7pm, as we hold a rally across Ireland in an act of solidarity with Jeremy.

With speakers coming together from across the island, well be discussing the influence & importance that strong socialist leaders such as Jeremy have in our movement, what other anti-democratic attacks socialists and trade unionists are facing right now and what the future can look like in the 2020s.
