A series of events during Islamophobia Awareness Month

Wednesday November 11, 6pm:
‘Islamophobia – causes and cures’
Introduction by Mohammed Owaise Kolia
His specialist area is early Islamic history. Mohammed is a volunteer for MEND. MEND seeks to tackle Islamophobia across the UK, raising an awareness to British Muslims and encouraging them to get involved with the media & politics.

Wednesday November 18, 6pm:
Islamophobia – the victims
Introduction by Azhar Qayum, Islamophobia Reporting Unit

Wednesday November 25, 6pm:
Remembering the massacre of Srebrenica, 25 years on
Introduction by Smajo Beso, Newcastle University

Saturday November 28, 6pm:
‘War and Islamophobia’
Confirmed speakers include Salma Yaqoob
